Sample Estimates, Takeoffs and Drawings

See the format, detail and clarity you can expect before you order.

Our deliverables are built to drop into your bid: an itemized estimate in Excel, marked-up plans that prove every quantity, and drawings that are ready for submittal or permit review. Below is what each package contains. Request a redacted sample for your trade and we will send the closest match.

What an itemized estimate includes

A Bid Sharp estimate is organized by CSI MasterFormat division, with each line showing item description, unit, quantity, waste, quantity with waste, unit material cost, total material cost, hourly wage, unit man-hours, total man-hours, total labor cost and item cost. A bid summary shows material, labor, subtotal, material tax, total cost, profit margin, contingency and the total bid price. A material breakdown lists quantities for ordering, and a proposal page states inclusions, exclusions, clarifications and assumptions.

  • Bid summary: total bid price and cost split by material, labor and markups.
  • Detailed estimate: line items by division with quantities, unit costs and labor hours.
  • Material breakdown: blocks, bags, cubic yards and other purchase quantities.
  • Proposal and clarifications: scope, exclusions, schedule and terms.
