Construction Estimating Services by State

Estimating is done remotely from your drawings, so we support contractors in all 50 states. Start with your state hub.

How does nationwide construction estimating work?

Construction estimating, quantity takeoff and drafting are performed from the drawings and specifications, so the project address does not limit coverage. Bid Sharp works with contractors and homeowners in all 50 states and prices each job with the labor, material and subcontract assumptions that fit the project’s location, delivery method and bid date. Local conditions still matter, so every quote asks for the project address, the solicitation or permit checklist and the wage rules that apply.

What do we need to estimate a project in your state?

  • Complete documents: drawings, specifications, addenda and the bid form, in PDF or DWG, or a link to the plan room.
  • The jurisdiction: the city or county that issues the permit or the agency that issued the solicitation.
  • The labor basis: open-shop market rates, or the prevailing-wage determination named in the solicitation.
  • The due date: bid day, permit submittal date or owner budget deadline, so the schedule can be planned.

Where do we focus first?

We publish state hubs only when they carry accurate, useful local guidance. Texas and California are live now, with large public and private construction markets and many projects that need fast takeoffs and permit-ready drawings. Additional states are being prepared and will be published after each has real local content, rather than copied pages. If your state is not listed yet, you can still upload plans for a quote.

Which services are available in every state?

All of our estimating and drawing services are available nationwide: construction estimating, quantity takeoff, shop drawings, structural drafting, permit drawings, solar services and CPM scheduling. Drawings that require a professional seal are reviewed and sealed by a professional licensed in the project’s state.

For public work, read our guides on county solicitations and building permits by county, or see public bid estimating.

Not in Texas or California?

We estimate projects in every state. Upload your plans and we will confirm scope, price and turnaround.
