Member Accounts

You can create a free member account on bid-sharp.com. To do this we collect your name, work email address, optional company name and a password. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, and your email address is stored encrypted. We also record when you last signed in and the IP address used, for account security. We send a message to confirm your email address, a welcome message, and one reminder message a few days later that points you to our estimate request form; the reminder contains a link to stop further reminders. We use your account details to give you access to open-bid and bid-result information, to operate and secure the website, and to contact you about your account and about estimating services you have asked about. We do not sell your account information.

Open Bid and Bid Result Information

The open-bid and bid-result pages show information compiled from public agency websites and public records, such as agency names, project titles, due dates and agency contact details published in bid notices. This information is provided for reference. Bid Sharp is not affiliated with the agencies, does not submit bids for you, and you should confirm every detail on the official listing. These pages are intended for users in the United States, and to protect the service we limit how many bid pages can be opened in a short time and may block automated or bulk access.

Cookies, Analytics and Security Logs

The website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed to run it, such as a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms, and a cookie that remembers the state you chose on the open-bids page. We also use analytics services, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it; these services may set their own cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. Our servers keep technical logs, including IP addresses, for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work.

Your Choices and Requests

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including your member account, by emailing [email protected] from the address on the account. You can stop reminder emails with the link in the email, and you can opt out of text messages by replying STOP. Residents of some US states have additional privacy rights under state law, and we will respond to valid requests as the law requires.

Data Security

Bid Sharp LLC treats submitted contact information and project data as sensitive because bid files, drawings, takeoffs, and specifications may contain confidential business information. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect stored and transmitted information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid sending information they consider highly restricted unless appropriate protections are in place.
