Bid Sharp is a construction estimating and drawing services company that helps general contractors, subcontractors, developers and homeowners across the United States bid accurately, permit confidently and build on schedule. What we do
Our services follow the life of a project: pre-bid solicitation review, construction estimating and quantity takeoff, bid preparation, post-bid support, structural drafting, permit drawings, shop drawings, solar plan sets, CPM scheduling and cost control.
Who we serve
We serve general contractors, subcontractors and homeowners on public and private open-shop projects. Our strongest focus areas include masonry, tile, concrete, MEP, solar and finishes, and we estimate every CSI division from 01 through 33. We support contractors in all 50 states, with particular attention to Texas and California.
How we work
You send plans, specifications, addenda and your bid date. We confirm scope, a firm price and turnaround before work starts. Our estimators measure from the latest documents using digital takeoff tools, price the work, and a second estimator reviews it. You receive Excel and PDF files, marked-up plans and written assumptions, and we support addenda, RFIs and post-bid clarifications. Read the full process.
Our approach to accuracy
- Quantities are measured from the latest drawings and addenda, and each number traces to a marked-up plan.
- Specifications are read alongside drawings so products, testing and submittals are priced as intended.
- Alternates, allowances and unit prices are priced separately and tied to the bid form.
- Assumptions, inclusions and exclusions are written down so they can be reviewed.
- A second estimator reviews every estimate before delivery.
Software and standards
We work in PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel and AutoCAD-compatible formats, with RSMeans-style cost data, and organize work by CSI MasterFormat.
Professional responsibility
Bid Sharp provides estimating, drafting and scheduling services. Drawings that require an engineer's or architect's seal are reviewed and sealed by a professional licensed in the project's jurisdiction. The contractor remains responsible for the bid it submits.
